Terms of Service

The plain-language rules.

What this service is, what it isn't, and how billing and cancellation actually work.

Last updated: July 18, 2026

What this service is

Land Your Contract scans the U.S. government's own public SAM.gov contract data every day and organizes it by trade or product category, with plain-English summaries and honest location-confidence labels. It's a research and discovery tool. It is not a guarantee that you'll win, or even be eligible for, any specific contract.

Data accuracy

Every listing traces back to SAM.gov or another official federal source. We label when our data was last refreshed ("data as of") and flag when it's gone stale. We don't guarantee completeness or real-time accuracy — federal agencies amend, cancel, and re-post notices on their own schedule. Always verify details directly on SAM.gov before submitting a bid.

Free vs. paid plans

Current plans and pricing live at /pricing and are the source of truth — not this page. As of this writing: the free tier (explorer, capped teaser cards, one delayed sample email) requires no payment. The paid Core plan is $49/mo, flat, for every subscriber. If the price ever changes, we'll notify current subscribers before it takes effect. Pro is described on the pricing page but is not yet on sale — we don't charge for features that don't exist yet.

Accounts

We don't currently use passwords or traditional accounts. Where a signed feature needs to identify you (like a confirmation or member link), it works via a one-time emailed link instead — nothing for us to store that could be stolen in a breach, and nothing for you to forget.

Billing and cancellation

Billing runs monthly through Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's own secure payment page — we never see or store your full card number. You can cancel at any time, with no notice period and no retention calls — self-serve from your account page, or by emailing us and we'll process it the same day. 14-day money-back guarantee: cancel within your first 14 days and we refund your payment in full, automatically, no questions asked — refunds typically take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement. Cancel after that window and you keep full access until the end of your current billing period; we don't provide partial-period refunds beyond the 14-day guarantee.

Acceptable use

  • Don't scrape, bulk-download, or systematically republish our curated output — the underlying government data is public on SAM.gov; what you're paying us for is the cleanup, scoring, and delivery layer on top of it.
  • Don't attempt to bypass rate limits, bot-verification, or the free-tier caps described on the pricing/explorer pages.
  • Don't use the sign-up forms to submit false information or on behalf of someone who hasn't agreed to it.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is legal, financial, or bid-consulting advice. Fit scores, competition estimates, and award-value ranges are informational estimates based on historical patterns — not guarantees or recommendations. Use your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional for anything that requires one.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is." Especially at this early stage, we don't guarantee uninterrupted uptime or that the service will be error-free. We work to fix problems quickly when we find them.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Land Your Contract isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including a missed or lost contract opportunity.

Termination

You may stop using the service or cancel a paid plan at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse of the acceptable-use rules above, fraud, or non-payment.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a material way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
